I'm originally from England, and I've lived around Australia for more than twenty years. I still haven't shaken the accent.
For the last eight years my home has been Perth. I'm raising my young family here, and I'm also caring for my elderly in-laws.
Looking after them is what drives me. I've seen up close what good care means to an older person and to the family around them, and I want everyone to have that same experience.
Life is busy. Three active children keep me flat out, and on weekends we head off camping along the WA coast. When there's a gap, you'll find me on a DIY project around the house.
What I do at Birchmere
As CEO of Birchmere WA, I lead everything we do in Western Australia. Day to day, that comes down to three things.
- Building our Perth team of carers, the people who'll be visiting your home.
- Matching each client with a carer who shares their interests, language and personality.
- Looking after families in Perth, so there's always a real person you can talk to.
